Every year more and more consumers are choosing organic cotton clothing (OCC) as a part of an eco-consciousness trend. mostly seen in developed countries such as USA and the UK.
And this is not a vague, sort of intuitive truth, in fact, we have the numbers.

According to this paper, published in 2010, called Will ‘Eco-Fashion’ Take Off? A Survey of Potential Customers of Organic Cotton Clothes in London* from the year 2008 to the year 2009 the organic cotton sector around the world increases its sales in a 35%. The total sales went from $3.2 billion in 2008 to “$4.3 billion on global retail sales of organic cotton apparel and home textile products”.

Another scientific research published at the International Journal of Consumer Studies found that :
‘a mother’s environmental concerns, environmental purchasing behavior and recycling behavior significantly affected their involvement in OCC, which further significantly determined mother’s willingness to purchase OCC.

Thus, we can state that these kind of super soft, high quality fabric labels can attract more customers as cotton production implies less CO2 emissions to the environment than other fibers based on petrochemical sources.
Therefore, whether for environmental or marketing reasons using cotton as your canvas for printed labels is a wise choice.
