NASCAR + Lapel Pins = Child Happiness?
Lapel pins are not just for promoting brand awareness. NASCAR fans and Bass Pro Shops customers can help these two organizations make a difference. NASCAR Day is the prototype of a charitable cause using lapel pins to inspire donations. A $5 donation buys a NASCAR collectable lapel pin at one of the 56-nationwid Bass Pro Shops in America. Enhancing child, happiness, well-being and growth is how NASCAR plans to contribute the proceeds. This national fundraiser, using lapel pins runs through May 21st.
Real Life Angel Earns Lapel Pin
While some angels have to earn their wings, other angels earn lapel pins. Well, it seems to be the case of the truck driver, who was recognized by the Truckload Carrier’s Association, as a “Highway Angel.”
Truck driver, Joseph Weavil, who works for the Epes Transport of Greensboro, NC, was driving along Interstate 95 in North Carolina when he witnessed a vehicle crash into a guardrail, plummeting down an embankment.
Mr. Weavil notified authorities about the accident. Going beyond the call of duty, Mr, Weavil waited for the police to arrive at the scene of the incident, where he mapped out a spot to ease the rescue.
The outcome saved the lives of a father and two children. In recognition of the kind act, Mr. Weavil received a highway angel lapel pin, certificate and patch.
